Her last performance at DPAC was a sold-out show in April of 2012. This show is presented in partnership with the DOME Group, Inc.

Whatever Patti LaBelle does, she does it with soul: she is a two-time Grammy® Award-winning singer, a New York Times bestselling author, and a three-time Emmy® Award-nominated actress.

Ms. LaBelle is widely regarded as a queen of rock and soul music. She has spent over 50 years in the music industry. She is best known for her hit songs, including the groundbreaking “Lady Marmalade,” as well as “When You Talk About Love,” “New Attitude,” and her duet with Michael McDonald, “On My Own.”

When not performing, Ms. LaBelle is an author and has written several books including her autobiography Don’t Block the Blessings (1997) and LaBelle Cuisine: Recipes to Sing About (1998), a diabetic cookbook. She has starred in stage and screen productions, including roles in the films A Soldier’s Story (1984) and Beverly Hills Cop (1984), an appearance in the Broadway gospel musical Your Arms Too Short to Box with God (1982) with Al Green and a recurring role in the television series A Different World (1990).

Patti LaBelle is also a humanitarian who devotes much of her time and talent to many charities.

Nashville, Tenn. (Oct. 25, 2013)TNA WRESTLING announced today it is accepting applications for the upcoming Gut Check Seminar in Toledo, Ohio, Saturday, Nov. 9, at the SeaGate Convention Centre.

The two-hour Gut Check Seminar offers instruction and advice from TNA personnel and industry veterans as they evaluate aspiring wrestlers, announcers, managers, valets and referees on promos, drills, simulated matches and in-ring work, with the possibility of earning a spot on the TNA roster.

“The Gut Check Seminars have proven to be a fantastic way for undiscovered talent to get noticed,” said Executive Vice President of Television Production and Talent Relations John Gaburick. “A number of great wrestlers discovered through the Gut Check Seminars have made the TNA roster and are seen by millions of fans around the world each week on IMPACT WRESTLING.”

Recent “Gut Check” winner and the newest Knockout, Lei’D Tapa, who is making her presence known each week on IMPACT WRESTLING airing Thursday nights on Spike TV, came through the ranks of a Gut Check Seminar to earn a TNA contract this past February.

A cappella superstars Straight No Chaser will share their “influence” on their North American fall tour, making a stop at DPAC on November 24, 2013. Their new album, Under the Influence, features partnerships with some of pop’s all-time biggest stars from Stevie Wonder to Phil Collins.

Under the Influence sees the acclaimed a cappella group reimagining a selection of their all time favorite songs alongside many of the superstar artists and undisputed music icons that made them famous. Produced by Mark Kibble – a founding member of the legendary a cappella group Take 6 and one of Straight No Chaser’s primary influences – the album includes unprecedented collaborations with some of popular music’s best and brightest – including Phil Collins, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Dolly Parton, Rob Thomas, Seal, and Jason Mraz – as Straight No Chaser put their distinctive and inimitable spin on songs known and loved the world over.

He is a certified platinum-selling artist, having sold over 10 million #1 albums; White has been nominated for two Grammy® Awards, and he has consistently been one of the five top-grossing comedians on tour. White’s three Comedy Central stand-up specials are the three top-rated specials in that network’s history.

White has been featured in the major feature films Horrible Bosses and Sex and the City 2 and has a principal role in Jayne Mansfield’s Car, written and directed by Billy Bob Thornton, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in February 2012.

Amos Lee will perform at DPAC on Monday, November 18 with special guest Jessica Lea Mayfield in support of his forthcoming fifth studio album, Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song.

Amos Lee is an American singer-songwriter whose musical style encompasses folk, rock and soul. With his laid-back vocal delivery and acoustic songwriting, Amos draws inspiration from soul music, contemporary jazz and ’70s folk artists like James Taylor.

Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song is the follow-up to Amos’ 2011 album, Mission Bell, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Billboard Rock Albums charts and contained the No. 1 A Triple radio hit “Windows Are Rolled Down.” The new studio album, a 12-song collection recorded in Nashville with Jay Joyce, is the first to feature Lee’s longtime touring band comprising Freddie Berman, Zach Djanikian, Andy Keenan and Jaron Olevsky.

John Oliver served as host of the Emmy®- and Peabody® Award-winning series The Daily Show with Jon Stewart for the eight weeks of original episodes that were scheduled during Jon Stewart’s hiatus.

“Don’t worry, it’s still going to be everything that you love about The Daily Show, just without the thing that you love the most about it,” said Oliver.

John Oliver joined The Daily Show and The Best F#@king News Team Ever in 2006 and since arriving has done everything from interviewing UN Ambassadors to covering the World Cup in South Africa to breaking his nose fighting for the Confederate army. As a writer Oliver has won Emmy® and Writers Guild Awards, and he won the Breakout Award at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. He performs stand-up around the US and his one-hour special Terrifying Times debuted in April 2008. His stand-up series, John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show premiered on COMEDY CENTRAL in January 2010 with the fourth season slated to air in late summer. Along with Andy Zaltzman, Oliver also writes and stars in a weekly podcast, “The Bugle: Audio Newspaper for a Visual World.”
